How do I apply thermal compound to Intel Dual Core E6600 processor to attach heatsink?

I haven't done this in a couple of years and don't want to mess up. I remember finding an image guide that showed exactly how to apply the thermal compound. First of all get Arctic Silver 2 (or up). It cools the CPU by 10C over the regular white silicon compound. They'll send instructions too. Very thin layer, but everything covered. ~


I use a toothpick to spread it.
