i am using Vista home basic.though i have downloaded theme files for vista(*.msstyle files to be exact),i don't know how to apply these themes...Could you please give me a step-by-step instruction for it?
i also googled it,but couldn't find much about it...it told we hav to apply some kind of patch...but i am afraid it might corrupt system files... Plz help!How to apply themes to Vista ? Can you give me a step-by-step procedure?
You require a patched uxtheme.dll file, to be exact.

After doing whatever you need to do with the patch, and rebooting your computer, do this:
Place your theme files into the windows default themes folder
(commonly C:\windows\resources\themes )
Double click the .msstyle files.
Display Properties dialog box will open.

as far as i know.. windows vista home basic doesnt support any other themes than what you see
