Check out this site:

It'll have all the tips you'll want for any kind of Make Up application.....

The tips for Eyeliner Application are:

Eyeliner Application Tip 1:

To improve the appearance of eyeliner and make your eyeliner last longer, try applying a sheer, loose powder on the upper and lower eyelids first 鈥?before applying your eyeliner. If you are going to apply mascara or eyeshadow, do it before putting on eyeliner to avoid smudging.

Eyeliner Application Tip 2:

Depending on the look you are trying to achieve, choose an eyeliner that is either powder-based, liquid-based, gel-based or an eye pencil. For a cleaner look, use Aloette鈥檚 Waterproof Mechanical Eyeliner. To create a softer line, eye pencils are best.

Eyeliner Application Tip 3:

It is important to keep your hand steady when you apply eyeliner. Start in the middle of the eyelid, and softly drag the eyeliner to the inner corner of the eye. Try drawing as close to the eyelashes as possible, then go back to the center of the eyelid and repeat outward. Extend the staying power of your eyeliner by using a product like Aloette鈥檚 Fine Line Professional Eyeliner Application Serum.

Eyeliner Application Tip 4:

If the eyeliner does smudge, then do not reapply more eyeliner. Simply use a Q-tip dampened with some warm water.

Also, MAC makes a great eyeliner pencil... You'll love it! Or, believe it or not.. Cover Girl has a really good twist pencil that applies like a liquid but it's in a pencil form...

Don't worry... You'll get the hang of it. It just takes some getting use to. And a steady hand. lol. :)

Good luck hon.How to apply eyliner on the top eyleid?
add a nice pastel eye shadow all over your eyelid, like pale pink, then trace your upper lash line slightly past the outer corner of your eye with a soft brown or mauve eyeliner pencil. Line the inner rim of your lower lash line. Curl your eyelashes and you are all set.'; N.Y.C.'; has a nice eyeshadow or'; L'Oreal Paris Wear Infinite '; comes in pretty pastel colors, and ';Bobbi Brown'; has a super cream pencil eye liner that u could try. If u want to add a little mascara, try ';Covergirl Lashblast Mascara';
all you really need is practice and right stuff.

if you just want a more defined look that is

near the lashline just use the tip of the pencil

or wet liner (if it's a pencil, make sure it's not

blunt since a blunt tip would not define the eyes

as well as a more sharper one) and just walk

it along the lashline. just short strokes.

starting at the corner, gradually go denser as

you reach half way over the eye for the added

visual effect of a bigger more lusher lashline.

this is because if you go more darker near the

tear duct, it will close your eyes more and make

you look harsh

if you want to do to do a cat eye you could either

start on the outside corner and create an angle

then gradually go thinner until you reach the inner

tear duct.

for the smoked out look just walk along the lashline

and then smudge it when a eyeliner brush or sponge

or just put a deep eyeshadow color with the same

technique of eyeliner

for the materials i would personally use a liquid eyeliner

and angled brush (which is excellent for a cat eye) but

you could always use Tarte emphasEYES eyeliner because

it is thin enough for a more precise line. and if you want

more staying power use Urban Decay's eye primer

because i think it's a staple for eye makeup that will

prevent smudging, wipe away, or creasing for the longest

time

good luck!

and by the way: close the lid as you use the eyeliner

so if lifts the eyelids
haha i know exactly what you mean but ive got a trick that works really well. itll take you about a week to really get it down perfect, but after that, you wont even have to think about it anymore.

first,

dont use liquid liner, its such a pain, its messy, and incredibly hard to use.

i use prestige waterproof eyeliner pencil, and you can get it at walgreens, or you can use one of my other favorites. stila but thats more expensive and you can get it at ulta.

ok. il talk you through what i do.

i start on my left eye first,.

so

what you want to do is, take ur left hand, hold it next to your left eye, on the left side, and pull slightly to the side of your face, dont tug hard because youll get wrinkles. but once youve closed your left eye and pulled the skin tight, take your right hand, with the pencil, and start from the inside of your eye, like where your tearduct is, and then slowly, start to draw small choppy lines right into the lashline, or just above it. go all the way to the end of your eye. then do the same for the other eye. hope that helps! :)
It depends. If your using liquid eyeliner, which i use, the best way to apply it is to make dashes starting from the tip of your top eye lid to the next tip. start with a very thin line, and go over it again but make it thinker it will turn out great.
wat i do is i 1st pull my eye taut so that the liner doesnt come on too thick. then with my free hand i draw a thin line right above the lash line. liquid eyeliner works best for the to eyelid and for the bottom pencil is better as you are less likely to hit ur eye as if u use liquid whichever is best 4 u. and any brand works the same just differnt lables. hopes this helps!
i softly pull my eyelid.. so it looks (no in an offensive way at all) like an asian eye.. you know what i mean?

and then i sweep the eyeliner across the lid. but i find it soooo muchhhhh easier to do a bunch of little strokes rather than one long one. : )

hope that helps! : )

sorry its kinda hard to explain, but i did the best i could!

esit- oh and i use eeste lauder.. not a liquid liner either
The best thing to do draw the line as close to you lashes as possible, if it is a little messy clean it up with a damp Q-tip to help get the look you want. And do not use liquid eyeliner; to messy, just use a nice sharp pencil liner.
I personally find it hard to use liquid eyeliner, so I just use the regular kind. Llancolm is a good brand. When you are aplying it try to put it on top of your eyelashes, and somehow magically it looks good :)!
Im looking forward to seeing some answers cause I never wear it cause it always looks like a derranged two year old done it... when I do attempt it I find liquids easier..
Liquid eyeliner is ALOT easier to apply to the lid than normal eyeliner.

Hope this helps !
