I want to know the main things about applying to college and how you apply to all the colleges?

These are the colleges i want to go to:

Villanova University

Boston University

University of Scranton

University of Dayton

St Johns University (Safety)

how does the application look?

does the order of how you put your colleges on your application effect your chances of getting in?I want to know the main things about applying to college and how you apply to all the colleges?
You don't tell the other schools where else you have applied... here are my suggestions from a Senior who is in the process...

Apply early... get all of your SAT's out of the way, and see if you can apply for early action.

Do alot of scholarships.... its really tedious work, but I would rather pay a few grand out of pocket for college than tens of thousands.

Don't Procrastinate... make a big schedule of when things are due, applicants, supplements, financial aid info, etc...

Good luck.I want to know the main things about applying to college and how you apply to all the colleges?
you know, these should all be separate applications, unless they are under the same system like in California;s UC system etc...go online to see the Applications, they are usually several steps to fill them out, they may need an essay, maybe a teachers recommendation letter, maybe your grades, they all vary, maybe your SAT scores. Good Luck and do not forget to Apply for financial Aid February! even if you do not qualify for gove assistance you will also need it for a loan if you want one.
i would go to commonapp.org and see how many of the schools you are looking for accept that, it saves SO much stress and time you can fill out all the info once and send it to all the schools, just tweak the essay and long answers to fit the particular school - as for the schools themselves they all are really respectable and good luck! :)
No it doesn't affect your chances.

Your academic performance, academic history, high school transcripts and entrance essays affect your chances.
