How to apply this formula to each value in excel?

I have a column of 200 values in an excel spreadsheet, want to apply this formula if each value was x:

x - (0.3152) / (0.1587)

How do i apply the formula above to each value in my columnand to make the answer appear in the column next to the value?

Any help will be greatly appreciated :D

MitchellHow to apply this formula to each value in excel?
Assume values are in cell A1 down to cell A200

In cell B1 (or the cell to the right of the first number) type

= (left key to select cell) - 0.3152/0.1587

press enter key - verify that it looks right.

Then copy the cell in b1 (ctrl-c when highlighting it).

Then select the area b2 through b200 (click b2 and drag down without letting go).

Then paste (ctrl-v)How to apply this formula to each value in excel?
Let's say that A1 is 10, B1 =A1-0.3152/0.1587 =10-0.3152/0.1587

Copy B1 down to the last value of A1.

Be careful with Precedences: the way you have it Excel will first divide 0.3152/0.1587, then it will subtract that from A1. If you mean to subtract 0.3152 from A1 first and then divide by 0.1587, write your formula as =(A1-0.3152)/0.1587
If you column of values were to start in cell A:1, put this formula in B:1

=A:1-(0.3152)/(0.1587).

Then copy cell B:1 and paste it in the next 199 cells below B:1
