I am at at community college, and I want to go to a university instead of staying here at the CC. I am Johns Hopkins, Lewis and Clark college, occidental, oberlin, and colby.

Apply to a few ';stretch'; schools that you really would like to go to, but don't really think you can get into. Then apply to several school you are pretty sure you will get in and like. Always have a fallback or two that you are nearly positive you can get into and would be ok to go to.
Applying to schools can be expensive, so apply to as many as oyu can afford. A good number is around 3-8, depending on your confidence in your acceptance and how many you would ACTUALLY go to. Don;t waste money on something you know you wouldnt go to.How many colleges should you apply to?
You should apply to as many college as you feel comfortable with. Mind you though it does cost to apply.
