I need make up lessons! What colors, how to apply, etc! Anyone have any websites, videos, tips, etc. Blond/blu

I am 27, thin, fairly tan, fairly long blonde hair, blue eyes, 5'11';. I need some make up help! I use make up but want to know how to use it better (especially the eyes). I need tips! Anyone know of where I can find some? I just think I could be a lot prettier if I could do make up better. Thanks!I need make up lessons! What colors, how to apply, etc! Anyone have any websites, videos, tips, etc. Blond/blu
Here's my make up routine:

Base:

Get a foundation the matches your skin-tone, I use Clinique super-fit makeup in 'Shell.' Find a complimentary blush, I have a rose color, and blend that on your cheeks.

Eyes:

I have this great eyeshadow duo that's just a tad lighter than my skin, and and just a tad darker. If you find one similar to that, I recommend it.

Application: Brush the lighter color from your eyelashes to your eyebrow bone. Take the darker tone and put it just on you eyelid.

If you're going for a really natural look, put just a touch of eyeliner on, I like liquid because it doesn't smear. (I've had the hardest time finding on that doesn't leave me looking tired after an hour. Pencil always smudges under my eye within an hour.) I'd use black or clear mascara on your lashes, curling them makes you look much more awake. If you don't have a curler (you can find them for under five dollars at any supermarket/drug store) you can use a spoon. Put it right at the base of your lashes and then with your fingers, apply pressure and lift up. Not quite as effective, but many make-up stylists recommend it.

Lips:

A nice clear lip gloss will look very sophisticated and young.

Something a little different:

If you want to jazz up your makeup routine, I suggest a dark purple, plum, or mauve eyeshadow. You can get it wet and apply it heavier and right at the base of your lashes for a pop of color. It also sets your eyeliner.

www.temptalia.com is a good one

ps...PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE
I prefer a video than reading stuff so I recommend you go onto Youtube and just type in what you want to see. They have it all from eyes to hair. Have fun!

I've started the search for you.......
There are some make-up vids ono youtube.com
Get a complimentary makeup consultation. You can get tips and a free makeover. I do these myself, but am only in the Tampa, Florida area.

You can get them done at the local mall.

Try mineral makeup and light brown shadows and liners.

Check out the dvd at www.iyinow.com.
I learned almost EVERYTHING I know about makeup on YouTube. Here are some people's links that you might be interested in:

...there's a million more but those are just most of the ones I watch! :D You can also just enter ';makeup tutorials'; or ';makeup how to'; or something like that in the search box but check these out - you'll learn a lot!
www.marykay.com is a great website to use. They will show you a look and how to copy it. It includes techniques from daytime to high drama looks. I also like the www.bobbibrown.com website
I have tons of tips for you! More than I can write here... I teach at John Casablancas modeling school and have much of what I teach on my blog: www.beautyandthebudget.blogspot.com

Good luck!
Another thing you can do is goto the mall and have a make up specialist apply makeup for you in the colors they think are complimentary for you. You do NOT have to buy a thing for them to do this. You can go to different counters (maybe different days) and see what each specialist tells you and shows you. I love first hand experiences. Try Lancome, Clinique, or other companies in our area. Just a thought. I also love products from Market America online. They custom blend.
If you go on Youtube and search Makeup Tutorial, there's a whole community of girls who do makeup! It's great and truthfully it's where I learned how to do my makeup. :)
www.youtube.com =) They have make up lessons and stuff on there.

Eye make up is accentuated by nice eyebrows - you should get them proffessionally done just once and then pluck them yourself after that.
go onto youtube and type in panacea81 she does brilliant make up tutorials especially for eyes and shows you all the tips and techniques for make up
